I Am In Need Of A Makeover!

After a long, hard week at work, the weekend is finally upon us! Well, unfortunately for me I am on day 3 of a 9 day working stretch! YIKES. Will probably be exhausted by the end of it! some of you may be aware, I have a product in my shop called a massage candle. While sales have gone ok....they are definately not as well as I had hoped. So in an effort to change this, I have decided to give this item a make over!

The first thing that comes to my mind are the scents that I offer: Red Hot Cinnamon, Vanilla, Black Raspberry Vanilla, Lavender, Pure Relaxation and of course, Unscented. While the top seller is a tie between the vanilla and black raspberry vanilla....the others have performed mediocre at best. With the Cinnamon and Unscented being last. I am asking for your help, what scents would you like to see in a massage candle?

Floral Scents such as Rose and Lilac?
Fruity Scents such as Cucumber Melon, Honeydew, White Ginger Pear?
Exotic Scents such as tea scents or oriental scents?
Manly Scents such as Bay Rum or Cool Water?
Food Scents such as Cinnamon Bun, Chocolate or Cinnamon Sugar?
Or other scents such as Clean Cotton or Linen?

What other scents would you like to see in a massage candle?

Now this brings me to my next phase of the makeover....the name itself. When I say massage candle...the name conjures up images of a sensual full body massage with your significant other. But maybe that isn't the best image for this item.....maybe it should be called a Body Candle. I use it all the time on my rough dry cracked feet....and on my dry should I portray an image that it can be used for extra pampering by treat yourself and skin to some extra moisturizing?

Any thoughts? I love getting come on readers...I am asking for your help!

  1. Well, I love the earthy musky scents, or something more herbal like mint or eucalyptus.

As for the name, maybe something like moisturizing body oil candle. Just an idea.

  2. I love the citrus scents, orange, lemon.
I agree with Miranda, with the name.

  3. i love the food and fruity scents personally

  4. I do love the fruity scents like cucumber melon. But I have to say my favorite scent is Green Tea.

As for the name maybe "Rejuvenate" the Mind and Body"

  5. I'll buy vanilla everytime!! Though the cinnamon sounds really good too.
Massaging Body Candle sounds like a really good name.

  6. I love floral scents, like Rose :)

  7. I love food scents as well. I also love fruity ones too.

  8. I like floralscents and exotic scents the best. Something mysterious and flirty is always good. I think changing the name is a good idea. Is it more like a balm or a waxy candle?

  9. Kathy, although the the concept does conjure up ideas of the formula that I use, the soy wax is only a little over 20% of the entire recipe. Therefore the remaining ingredients are all skin loving oils such as avocado oil, shea butter and cocoa butter. All well know for their skin hydrating properties. And a little know fact is that soy is also contributes to the skin's healing and hydrating. It can be used like a balm, simply dip your fingers into the candle and as it comes into contact with your skin, it will begin to warm and melt allowing for you to rub it in........hmm guess I forgot to add all of this in the description. THanks for asking!

  10. I think Spa Candles would be a nice name. I love lavander or a combo of lavander and vanilla. Lavander is a stress reducing scent and who couldn't use less stress.

  11. maybe body "softening" candle or skin softening candle? really say what it does!

  12. Fabulous Sharing!
